Essential oils have been used for centuries in different traditions to scent spaces, in rituals, for moments of relaxation and in personal care practices. Today, interest in essential oils is growing, and the variety available can make choosing difficult: lavender, mint, cedar, musk, lotus or various aromatic blends.
In the Adevăr și Lecuire shop, you can explore, for example, Lavender Essential Oil, Mint Essential Oil, Cedar Essential Oil or MUSK Essential Oil.
But what exactly are essential oils? How are they used? How do you choose the right aroma for yourself, and what precautions should you follow?
I work with essential oils every day: on chakras, in releasing bonds, in the bath, in the diffuser and for massage. Below, I also tell you what I have observed, oil by oil, in the live streams where we unpacked parcels of new oils together.
Essential oils for relaxation and quiet moments
One of the most popular uses of aromas is creating an atmosphere suitable for relaxation.
After a busy day, a simple ritual can mean a few minutes without your phone, dim lighting, conscious breathing and an aroma you associate with calm.
Lavender is probably one of the best-known plants associated with this aromatic world. If you enjoy classic floral aromas, you can discover Lavender – Essential Oil.
For a different aromatic experience, you can also explore White Lotus – Essential Oil.
Essential oils for meditation and spiritual practices
Aromas have been incorporated into ceremonies and spiritual practices in many cultures.
Even today, some people use essential oils for meditation, prayer, introspection or personal rituals.
Among the aromas that can be incorporated into such a moment are Cedar – Essential Oil, with its woody profile, and Blue Lotus – The Sacred Flower of Ancient Egypt, for those drawn to the symbolic and historical world of the blue lotus.
You can read about the history and rituals of Blue Lotus in Blue Lotus in Ancient Egypt and in Blue Lotus: uses, rituals and spiritual meanings.
You can create a small ritual before meditation: air the room, remove distractions, prepare the space and choose an aroma you would like to associate with that moment.
Essential oils and energy cleansing
The concept of energy cleansing appears in many contemporary spiritual practices.
For those who follow such practices, energy cleansing can be a symbolic ritual marking the end of a period, reorganising their space or setting a new intention.
Within this world, you can discover Protection Mix – Essential Oil, created around the theme of protection, or the combination MUSK + Protection Mix.
For those who would like to deepen the practice, there is also Breaking Spells and Deep Energy Cleansing, which combines a PDF resource with aromatic products.
In this context, these products should be viewed as elements of rituals and spiritual practices, rather than products with proven medical effects.

Essential oils for love
In spiritual practices, flowers and fragrances are often symbolically associated with love, harmony and opening the heart.
If you would like to build a personal ritual around these themes, you can explore Peony – Essential Oil for the Heart Chakra, Love and Harmony.
Another option devoted to this theme is Love Mix – Essential Oil.
You can use the aroma as a cue for your moment of introspection: a few minutes when you focus on your relationship with yourself, gratitude or your intentions in your emotional life.
Essential oils for abundance
Abundance is another theme present in many spiritual practices.
An abundance ritual can, above all, be a moment when you clarify your goals, notice the beliefs that limit you and formulate the intentions you wish to follow.
For this type of practice, Adevăr și Lecuire offers Abundance Mix – Essential Oil.
The association between aroma and abundance belongs to the symbolic and spiritual world and is not a promise of financial results.
Essential oils and the 7 chakras
In spiritual traditions that work with the chakra system, aromas can be incorporated into meditation or rituals devoted to a particular chakra.
For a practice focused on the whole system of seven chakras, you can discover 7 Chakra Mix – Essential Oil.
For the heart chakra, another option in the Adevăr și Lecuire collection is Peony – Essential Oil.
You can choose an aroma and meditate on a theme symbolically associated with that chakra: safety, creativity, confidence, love, expression, intuition or spiritual connection.
If you want to learn which themes are associated with each chakra, read Blocked chakras: 7 signs and how to unblock them.
It is useful to maintain the distinction between spiritual practice and evidence-based medicine: chakras belong to spiritual and traditional systems, rather than medical anatomy.
How I use essential oils
Everything I write here comes from my own experience, rather than the internet. When I receive a new oil, I first test it on myself and note which chakra it works on and what I feel.
On a chakra, with meditation
The deepest way to use an oil is to put a drop on a chakra and meditate. Putting it on and rushing off to work is not the same. When you sit with it in meditation, it attunes you to its vibration and many things come up for you. Meditation is the foundation; the oil helps, but your process remains internal.
- Choose the oil and chakra. For example, I put frankincense on chakra 3, at the navel, and Isis on the heart.
- Put a single drop on the chakra.
- Close your eyes and say: “I activate the vibration of [oil name]”, then bring the energy into the chakra and let it spin.
- Remain in meditation for a few minutes and note what comes to you.
Once you know an oil well, you can activate its vibration just in your awareness too. As a perfume, put it on a point over the heart rather than behind the ears.
For releasing bonds
For cleansing and breaking spells, I use Musk and Protection Mix. For the black candle ritual, only these two work, rather than other oils, because they do not have the same vibration. Myrrh and frankincense are about peace and inner calm, rather than removing spells.
How I work: I put my feet in a tub of salt, put oil on the chakras and read the formulas for releasing bonds, each sentence twice. Take them one at a time, mark the sentences where you feel an effect and return to them. On salt, musk or the protection blend amplifies the cleansing. You can find more in the guide to musk essential oil.

In the bath
I take a bath every evening and almost always put oil in the water. Two or three drops of myrrh or frankincense make for a very peaceful bath; with Blue Lotus, I become very calm, while mint leaves me with a different energy. I put musk in the water to cleanse the root chakra, but it is strong and can burn, so dilute it. A trick that really works: keep the bottle beside the bathtub so you do not forget.
In the diffuser
I add a little water and one or two drops. Frankincense and sage create a very calm vibration in the home. Isis in the diffuser smells of wealth, with a feminine vibration; Blue Lotus has a masculine vibration. Citrus oils, lemon and orange, were the vibration of my summer, while sage or basil after cleaning the house are like a cleansing of the soul. My recipes with drop amounts are in essential oil blends for a diffuser.
For massage and as perfume
For massage, put a few drops into a carrier oil: argan, which is thicker and more suited to hair, or almond, which is lighter, for the body. I massage my girls after their bath; it is their moment. You do not need to go to a salon: you can give yourself a massage at home too, if you take time to be with yourself.
Isis is my perfume: I put it in a bottle with alcohol and wear it. I also keep a set of oils in my bedside table, so I can open the drawer in the evening and choose.
What each oil does, in my experience
This is my personal map, from meditation. I am talking about what I feel in spiritual work, rather than medical effects.
Cleansing and protection
- Musk: the foundation for cleansing the energy body. I feel it especially on the sacral chakra, but I put it on any chakra.
- Protection Mix: it contains musk, spikenard and oud; I alternate it with musk.
- Musk Prevention Mix: to stop spells attaching to you, rather than only removing them. Prevention comes from love: when you love yourself and set boundaries, unpleasant things no longer attach to you.
- Neem and Himalayan Artemisia: cleanse more strongly than musk, but smell unpleasant. Only a few drops, always diluted, and not for sensitive people.
- Nettle, Burdock and Chamomile: I chose them intuitively and was surprised at how well they cleanse.
Heart and love
- Isis: activates the heart chakra; I have also used it on the crown and third eye.
- Rose: also for the heart, on another vibration. I really liked it mixed with Isis.
- Peony: for me, it activated the back of the heart chakra.
- Rosewood: like rose, but rounder and deeper.
- Lilac: opens new doors in the heart; to me, it smells of Easter.
- Crazy Love: a blend for the heart chakra that also works as perfume.
Peace, meditation and the upper chakras
- Myrrh and frankincense: peace, inner calm and being at peace with yourself. Frankincense oil does not smell like church incense, but it has great spiritual power.
- Blue Lotus: calms your aura. If you are agitated, it is what you need.
- 7 Chakra Mix: balanced, for maintaining the chakras once you have settled after cleansing.
- Sandalwood and lavender: for the upper chakras; I put a drop of sandalwood on the third eye.
- Violet: activates the crown and third eye.
- Amber: calms the root chakra; musk with amber is my combination for chakra 1.
Chakra 3 and abundance
- Tulip: works well on chakra 3, with the phrase “I activate chakra 3 and call all my power back into myself.”
- Anti-Anxiety Mix: on chakra 3, for relaxation. It does not replace working on yourself: anxiety involves working on the inner child and trauma, and if it overwhelms you, see a psychologist or psychotherapist.
- Clove: a vibration of abundance.
Children and the inner child
- Inner Child Mix: for reconnecting with the inner child, the part closest to the soul.
- Children's Mix: it contains Honey Flower, a flower from Egypt that resembles linden.
- For children, I choose gentle oils: myrrh, frankincense, 7 Chakra Mix, rose, jasmine and Blue Lotus. I do not use the very strong ones on them, and for babies and young children, ask the paediatrician first.
Quality and my precautions
For me, oil must be 100% natural; I prefer fewer oils of good quality. A very cheap synthetic oil is for the diffuser, rather than meditation or cleansing. I keep them in glass, rather than plastic.
- They are for external use: do not swallow them.
- Strong oils (basil, neem, artemisia) burn the skin: dilute them in a carrier oil and first test them on a small area.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or are considering use for children, ask a doctor. Oils do not treat illnesses.
Which essential oil should you choose?
If you are just starting, you do not need dozens of products. Choose according to the aroma you enjoy, the way you want to use it and the product's safety instructions.
To help you find your way:
-
for a classic floral aroma: Lavender;
-
for a fresh aroma: Mint;
-
for woody notes: Cedar;
-
for meditation and spiritual symbolism: Blue Lotus;
-
for protection rituals: Protection Mix;
-
for abundance rituals: Abundance Mix;
-
for symbolic chakra work: 7 Chakra Mix.

Frequently asked questions about essential oils
How are essential oils used on chakras?
Put a drop on the chakra you are working on, close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes, activating its vibration. I put frankincense on chakra 3, Isis on the heart, sandalwood on the third eye and musk with amber on the root.
Which essential oil do I use for energy cleansing?
Musk and Protection Mix are the foundation, including for releasing bonds and the black candle ritual. Neem and artemisia cleanse even more strongly, but only when diluted.
Can essential oils be used on children?
For children, I only use gentle oils and blends made for them, never the strong ones. For babies and young children, ask the paediatrician first.
Conclusion
Essential oils form a rich world of aromas, plants and traditions. They can be incorporated into scenting the home, moments of relaxation, meditation and various personal or spiritual rituals.
What matters most is making an informed choice. Read the ingredients, follow the directions for use and precautions, and avoid confusing spiritual or traditional meanings with proven medical effects.
Used consciously, aroma can become an important part of a moment devoted to you: a few minutes when you slow down, notice your state and set your intention.

Essential oils: responsible choice and use
Fragranced oils and products called essential oils should be chosen according to their ingredients and instructions, rather than just a spiritual intention. A fragrance can accompany a personal ritual without treating an illness or proving energy protection.
What to check before use
Read the ingredients, directions and precautions for the exact product. Do not assume all products are suitable for skin application, diffusion or ingestion. If you have sensitivities, are undergoing treatment or have questions about a particular situation, seek advice from a competent professional. You can meditate without fragrance too.
An exercise you can adapt
First choose the context: scenting a space or another use permitted by the label. Check the instructions before buying, and stop use if discomfort occurs. Let your spiritual choice complement the concrete information, rather than replace it.
Choose the right support for your theme
Adevăr și Lecuire offers products such as Mir, Musc and themed blends. Consult each page for ingredients and instructions; spiritual names are not medical indications.
See Mir – Essential Oil and buy on the website. Read the product's content and terms before choosing.
Frequently asked question
Can I use any oil directly on the skin? Do not assume so. Follow the product instructions and check the precautions for your situation.
