A space where you can meet yourself

Perhaps you are going through a difficult period. Perhaps you have many questions, feel you have lost touch with yourself, or there are past experiences that continue to influence your present.

Or perhaps there is no crisis. You simply feel the need to get to know yourself better, to understand what is happening inside you and to discover what really matters to you.

You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for before you begin.

The individual session with Laura is a meeting for personal development, self-knowledge and reflection, built around what you are living right now.

You can come with a concrete problem, a question, an emotion, a change you are going through, or simply the need to pause for a while and listen to yourself.

What can you work on in the sessions?

Depending on what matters to you, you can explore:

  • the emotions and experiences that still weigh on you;
  • periods of change or transition;
  • the needs you have ignored or find hard to identify;
  • your relationship with yourself and the way you talk to yourself;
  • personal boundaries and the difficulty of saying “no”;
  • relationships and what is yours versus what belongs to the other person;
  • your values and priorities;
  • patterns of thinking and behaviour;
  • the resources and qualities you may have stopped seeing;
  • your voice and the difficulty of saying what you think or feel;
  • questions about your direction;
  • what you want to keep, change or leave behind;
  • reconnecting with yourself and your own needs;
  • self-knowledge, even when there is no specific problem.

How does a session work?

Conversation is the starting point.

At the beginning, Laura invites you to notice how you are in that moment and what you are bringing to the meeting. Together you decide what would be important to explore.

Depending on the theme that comes up, the conversation may be accompanied by simple personal development and reflection exercises.

It may involve questions such as:

What am I feeling now?
What do I need?
What is draining my energy?
What depends on me in this situation?
What is important to me?
What is no longer OK for me?
What do I want to keep and what do I want to change?
What is the next step I can take?

Sometimes the work may focus on emotions, other times on values, boundaries, your relationship with yourself, personal resources, life changes or past experiences.

Breathing and relaxation exercises, music, symbolic representation or exploring childhood experiences may also be used, when these are appropriate for the person and the theme of the meeting.

There is no rigid programme and no exercises you have to go through.

Sometimes an honest conversation is exactly what you need.

You choose the pace

There are no “right” answers.

You can say you don't want to answer a question. You can decline an exercise, stop it, or change the direction of the conversation.

You don't have to share more than you want to.

You come with your story, your pace and what matters to you right now.

You don't have to come only when things are hard

Personal development doesn't only begin in a moment of crisis.

Sometimes we start working on ourselves because it hurts.

Other times, because we want to understand why we repeat certain things.

And sometimes simply because we want to know ourselves better.

You can come with a problem, a question, a wish for change or simply the feeling that the time has come to get closer to yourself.

About Laura

I'm Laura – a psychologist, teacher and musician.

I have learned from joy, but also from pain, from meetings and partings, from successes and from moments when I didn't know which way to go.

Over time, I have understood that we cannot change what we have lived through, but we can begin to understand what it has left in us and what we choose to do next.

In my work with people, I focus on listening, respect and each person's freedom to discover their own answers.

I don't start from the idea that I have to tell you who you are or who you should become.

The meeting is a space where we can look together at what you are living, what you need and what may become clearer for you.

What can you leave a session with?

Not every meeting has to end with a revelation or a perfect solution.

Sometimes you may leave with more clarity.

Other times with a new question.

With something you have understood about yourself.

With an emotion you can look at differently.

With a boundary you want to set.

Or simply with a small, concrete step you choose to take for yourself.

You don't have to solve everything in a single meeting.

You can come as you are

You don't have to be “ready”.

You don't have to have all the words.

You don't have to know exactly what you're looking for.

You can come with a story.
With a question.
With a pain.
With a change.
With curiosity.
Or simply with the need to listen to yourself more.
